State SuperShooters

The Gowrie Jaycees would like to invite you to the Iowa Jaycees State Super Shooters Competition to be held in Gowrie on Saturday March 8th, 2008 at the Prairie Valley Gymnasiums.  The school is located at the intersection of Lincoln St. and Riddle St..  Registration will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. with the competition beginning at 1:00 p.m.  There will be 6 baskets used for the shooting competition.  Registration fee is $15.00 if postmarked March 3rd or before.  Registration fee will be $20.00 on March 8th.  There will be a $2 adult admission fee.  If your local Jaycee chapter is paying for your registration, please send your check to the Gowrie Jaycees, and then have your chapter reimburse you.   

We will have a concession stand and will be serving burgers, chips and bars.  It will be open before the competition begins so that the kids will have a chance to eat before they compete.

Trophies will be awarded to the top six competitors in each age division.  All participants will receive a participation certificate.  We will have printouts of the results for each age group that will be available after the award ceremony.  Those who do not place will have a chance to win a drawing for a basketball in each grade group.  Must be present to win.

 T-shirts are available for purchase for all state qualifiers.  Shirts are $15 and order forms need to be mailed and postmarked by March 3rd, 2008.  A limited supply of shirts will be available for sale on March 8th.  Attached is an order form.

Please pre-register and order your shirt by March 3rd, 2008 by sending your check to Brad Lane, P.O. In case of bad weather the event may be postponed until March 16th please check radio WHO 1040 or call Brad or Bruce.
