The Foundation for
Iowa Jaycee Charities
The Iowa Jaycee Charities Foundation was originally established in the early 1970’s. The Iowa Jaycee Foundation is a corporation set up under regulations of the IRS Code 501 C.3, which allows tax-deductible contributions to the Foundation. Individuals, businesses, corporations can take advantage of this section to make favorable tax-deductible contributions. Money received by the Foundation is then in turn distributed to Jaycee chapters in the state to conduct programs. There are certain guidelines established by the IRS code concerning types of programs eligible for use of Foundation grants. Grant application forms are to be completed and submitted to the Foundation Board to be considered for a grant.
The Foundation Board of Directors is made up of 15 members, with the current State President and Chairman of the Board automatically hold two of those positions.
Our Purpose
The purposes of this foundation are to raise and receive contributions from communities or members of communities for donations to such organizations, individuals, committees, project or programs that are organized or operated for religious, charitable, scientific, testing for public safety, literary or educational purposes, or for the prevention of cruelty to children or animals.Donations
